craft

The process of turning raw green beans into a rich, flavourful coffee, is part art, part science.

Each day our Master Roasters blend, roast, cup, and taste batch after batch of coffee to deliver a consistently delicious result.

Only when the team has given their tick of approval in the tasting room at Kingsgrove in NSW, can Harris coffee be freshly packed and delivered right across Australia.

It's what makes Harris coffee something to look forward to every morning, and it is what we have been doing for over 130 years.

At Harris, we believe that everyone deserves to enjoy great coffee.

For our Master Roasters, it all begins with a search for the right coffee beans. A journey that takes us all over the world, from the Ethiopian highlands to the plantations of Brazil. The geography, soil, climate, sunlight and moisture all have a bearing on the taste, intensity and flavour of the coffee. Once we find the best beans, we carefully batch roast and freshly pack them right here in Australia.

We are Harris, sourcing, roasting and cupping coffee for over 130 years.

Whether you're a barista or a coffee lover, there are many different styles of coffee to enjoy, each with individual traits and characteristics. Once you've found your style, the perfect cup of coffee is just a little practise away.

ESPRESSO

A 30ml shot of concentrated coffee, topped with a golden layer called crema. Also known as short black, it's the starting point for great coffee.

FLAT WHITE

A delectable mix of espresso coffee (30ml) and steamed milk served in a cappuccino cup.

CAPPUCCINO

Espresso shot (30ml) and steamed milk, topped with creamy foam and a drizzling of fine chocolate.

MOCHA

Espresso shot (30ml) steamed milk, served with foam and the guilty pleasure of chocolate. Usually topped with a dusting of cinnamon or fine chocolate.

LATTE

Espresso shot (30ml) with steamed milk and a head of foam, often served in a tall glass.

AMERICANO

Also known as long black. A standard espresso shot (30ml) mixed with hot water, served in a regular coffee cup or mug. Hot water is poured first, followed by the espresso to maintain the crema.

AFFOGATO

Vanilla ice cream bathed in a shot of Espresso (30 ml).Bellissimo!

MACCHIATO

Means stain in Italian. An espresso with a spoonful of foamed milk - just enough to stain the coffee.
